Kabul Adilov artist's portrait
He was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 1959. He studied art in St. Petersburg, Russia and graduated from St. Petersburg Institute for Painting Sculpture and Architecture in 1985.

He moved to Budapest, Hungary in 1987. Despite his young age he has been one of the most colorful personalities in Hungarian contemporary art. His talent is endowed by the mysterious charm of his native land, its rich historical and cultural legacy. In his landscapes the ancient and modern view of the world are combined. In his figures myth and poetry join together. His rich art is inspired by the vision of intimate unity of man and nature.

His works can be found in three continents of the world. He has exhibited at many of the former republics of the Soviet Union and then in Japan, India, South Korea and Spain. His major solo exhibition was in Munich, Germany in 1990, and from 1991 continuously exhibiting in Ross Gallery, London.
