He was born in Budapest, Hungary in 1915. As a particularly talented student, he was enrolled with a special permission to the University of Applied Arts at an early age. His masters were Jeno Haranghy and Janos Stein.

He graduated in 1935, but the World War II interrupted his career. After the war he could only find occupation as a textile designer. He used this period to continuously develop his skills as a painter.

In the 60’s, he was invited by famous galleries to exhibit in Paris, Corno, and Milano. He explored the techniques of both realism and surrealism of landscape and portrait painting during his active period.

He lived a withdrawn life and never wanted to participate in the self-promoting artistic life of his time. The colourful scale of his art reaches from Realism over the Expressionism up to the Surrealism.

The quality and individuality of his paintings speak for themselves.
