Ede Posa artist's portrait

Ede Pósa was born in Völgyes near Kanizsa in 1947. Following the completion of his studies at a secondary school of architecture he moved to Zenta, and became a member of the 'Q-group' of Szabadka.

He continued with his studies at the Teacher Training College of Újvidék under the mentorship of József Ács, a painter artist.

Ede Pósa was born in Völgyes near Kanizsa in 1947. Following the completion of his studies at a secondary school of architecture he moved to Zenta, and became a member of the 'Q-group' of Szabadka.

He continued with his studies at the Teacher Training College of Újvidék under the mentorship of József Ács, a painter artist.
The landscapes of Ede Pósa are featured by deep, tender observation. In his pictures he is not intending to present actions, people or events. There are only colours, waterside areas, meandering lanes, and drifting clouds.

The colours express emotions, memories, delight and astonishment everything that can occur in a painter's life.

His major individual exhibitions are: 1983-Gallery of Zenta Museum, 1984-Kanizsa, 1985- Szeged, 1987- Bonn, Zenta, 1988-Buttewiesen, 1989- Wertingen, 1992-Pécs, 1993-Gyula, Szeged, 1996-1997-Budapest, 1996; Budapest, 1997.
