He was born in Tolna in 1948. This land and the family climate largely contributed to the enrichment of his talent.

“My first great master was my grandfather. In my art he was the one who lay the foundations of drawing, of the liking towards horses and of the affection of materials and colours,” he reveals about himself.

He completed his art studies in Pécs under the mentoring of József Martinek and Gábor Bérczes. Following his formal education he moved to Budapest, where György M. Molnár, the leader of the art colony of Dunaföldvár, supported him at the beginning of his professional career.

His artistic personality presented itself very early. His perspective is characterised by self-irony, by respect towards the classic European culture and by the interpretation of the manifestations of the sacred world in the world of man.

In 1975 he was accepted as member of the Studio of Young Fine Artist. He has been member of the Art Fund since 1982.
He has presented his works at Hungarian and foreign exhibitions with success. His paintings can be found in Germany and Italy, Israel and the USA alike.
